Minors & Under-18 Policy

Effective date: July 13, 2026

Last updated: July 13, 2026

This policy explains how we handle users under the age of 18, including high school student-athletes.

1. Minimum age

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. The Service is not designed for or directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact info@jenfrytalks.com and we will delete it.

2. Users aged 13–17

Users aged 13–17 may use the Service only with verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian, and typically only through a school, team, or organization account.

When a school or athletic organization enrolls users under 18, the organization is responsible for:

  • Obtaining and documenting parent/guardian consent as required by federal and state law (including COPPA where applicable).
  • Informing parents/guardians about the Service, what data is collected, and how it is used.
  • Providing our Privacy Policy and this Minors Policy to parents/guardians on request.

3. What we collect from minors

We collect the same limited categories described in our Privacy Policy — name, email, organization/team, assessment responses, and usage data. We do not knowingly collect precise geolocation, government IDs, or other sensitive categories from minors.

4. Parent and guardian rights

Parents and legal guardians of users under 18 may:

  • Review the personal information we have collected about their child.
  • Request correction or deletion of that information.
  • Withdraw consent and close the account.

To exercise these rights, email info@jenfrytalks.com from an address we can reasonably verify (for example, an address previously used to enroll the child or provided by the enrolling school/organization).

5. Coaches, athletic directors, and school staff

Adults who administer the Service to minors are responsible for using it appropriately — for education and team development, not surveillance, discipline, or punitive assessment. Sharing an individual minor's results outside the coaching context requires a legitimate educational purpose and, where required, parent consent.

6. No advertising to minors

We do not serve behavioral advertising to any user, and we do not use minors' data for marketing.

7. Reporting concerns

To report a concern about the safety of a minor using the Service, email info@jenfrytalks.com.
